We know what many of you are wondering:Â What s the difference between Bones Classic, Bones Black, and Bones USA besides sharing the Bones name?
The difference between all three lines is simply the technology used to produce the figures.
Bones Classic was created in 2012 using the best technology Reaper could afford at the time. The results were great and yielded a massive surge in the popularity of collecting and painting miniatures.
However, anything can be improved. When Reaper launched Bones Black in 2019 they used both a newer technology and a different material that yielded a figure that was easier to paint and much stiffer.
Bones USA are thermoplastic injected models using state-of-the-art technology to achieve amazing results.
Coming full circle on a promise Reaper made to the backers of their first Kickstarter, they are now producing miniatures in their factory in Denton, Texas. How can you determine if a model is a Bones USA model? It says USA on the bottom of the base!
